With support, she is now able to earn a stable income, contributing to her family’s financial security. This simple yet powerful tool has given Shapla the opportunity to build a brighter future, transforming her life through self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
In May 2023, the Gingham Foundation extended support to local rickshaw pullers by providing head umbrellas to help them cope with the intense summer heat in Bangladesh. Among them was Rafique, a hardworking rickshaw puller who struggled under the scorching sun during long working hours. The umbrella offered him much-needed shade, reducing the risk of heat exhaustion and making his daily work more bearable. This small gesture has significantly improved his comfort and well-being, allowing him to continue earning a living with greater ease during the harsh summer months.
We recently supported a person named Shafiqul suffering from kidney disease who was struggling to afford essential treatment. Recognizing the critical need, we provided financial assistance for his dialysis sessions and medication, ensuring he could continue receiving life-saving care. Additionally, we offered guidance and connected him with healthcare resources for ongoing support.
Each meal is not just about addressing immediate nutritional needs but also about offering hope and support to individuals who struggle daily. Through our efforts, we strive to make a meaningful impact, helping to ensure that everyone has access to the basic necessity of food.
